I'm talking but they just ain't getting it....

Do you ever feel misunderstood?

I'm having one of those days were I'm talking but no one seems to understand me.

I'll explain something simple but they still have that vacant look on their face....

In short someone told a temp here they would have a few more weeks work for them. The temp (who is very nice) works for my boss and myself and was due to leave at the end of the week.

We didn't want to tell him anything without confirmation in case the work never came through (cos the source isn't great with timing). Guess what, the work never materialised and someone has to tell the poor guy he won't be employed as of Friday.

I'm tempted to shout at a certain person "Think before you speak!" but I can't they are much higher up then lowly little me...

The lack of commonsense in people shocks me.

The ironic thing about commonsense is it is anything but common.

  1. Yes, I have a problem with people not understanding me all the time, but that is becasue I am not very good at expressing myself.

  2. "Excuse me, but have you seen my baby? I seem to have misplaced him. Also, I seem to have misplaced his diaper bag which I really need to get back because my drugs are in there."

I saw the signs she posted in her community.

Lost baby. Answers to Isiah. Needs special formula.

I tried to call the number on the sign, but she didn't answer. She must have misplaced her phone too.

Of course, she wouldn't be able to

  11. The lack of common sense in the workplace is incredibly amazing, for me most of it has to do with communication, there simply isn't any.

  15. I know he is a temp, I just feel guilty (I know it wasn't my fault) I just don't think you should promise something unless you can deliver.
